This unit covers the histology of the following systems; skin, musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, lymphoreticular, respiratory, digestive, nervous and urogenital. Students will study the principles and applications of routine and some special diagnostic histological methods for staining lipids, mucosubstances and neural tissue. Section cutting, staining and microscopical interpretation of selected tissues and organs from these systems will also be undertaken. -- Course Website
